چکیده
Neoplasia literally means the process of “new growth,” and a new growth is called neoplasm. The term tumor was originally applied to swelling caused by inflammation. Neoplasms also may induce swellings, but long precedent, non-euplastic usage has passed into limbo; thus, now equated with Oncology (Greek oncos = tumor) study tumors or neoplasm’s. Cancer common for all malignant tumors. present designed investigate anti-tumor activity ethanolic leaves extract Epipremnum aureum Linn. evaluated in-vitro in-vivo experimental models. To achieve objectives, EEEA subjected phytochemical screening tested oral toxicity test. carried out MTT assay Trypan blue dye exclusion using DAL cell lines. against tumour bearing mice liquid Preliminary confirmed presence flavonoids, glycosides, tannins, phenolic, steroids, triterpeniods etc. showed good cytotoxic effect on line in assay. Oral administration 14 days, significant reduction percent increase body weight, volume, viable count when compared untreated control group. restoration haematological parameters towards normal observed. results suggested that exhibits both methods. DAL-bearing orally administered Linn., at 200 400 mg/kg weight change average life span animals percentage number cells were found be significantly less than animals, indicating nature extract.
